Quick answer
All three must identify the same legal person: contract party, VAT invoice issuer and corporate account holder names should match each other, the business license and the LHLN name in official BPJPH listings. Request the account certificate and invoicing details before signing, and check the invoice afterward. If an affiliate invoices or a third party collects payment, demand a written explanation of the legal relationship with evidence, or pause payment.
Detailed explanation
Invoice Account Consistency Checks
This is the step most easily skipped before payment and the hardest to remedy afterward:
- Obtain the business license and check name, unified social credit code and registered address.
- Compare the contract party, invoicing information and bank account certificate for identical names.
- Map the entity to the LHLN English name in official BPJPH listings and save a dated screenshot.
Typical anomalies
- The contract names company A, but invoices are issued by consulting company B.
- The payee name differs by a character or two, explained as group-level collection.
- Only a personal QR code or non-corporate account is offered, with no account certificate.
- In multi-currency quotes, the overseas beneficiary is not the same legal person as the contract party.
Why it matters when things go wrong
When contract, money and invoice flows point to different entities, the payment is hard to link to the contracting party, weakening refund, damages and responsibility claims. If needed, call the agency's officially listed number to reverse-verify the account; warm introductions are not an exception.
